Courage is an outpatient Virtual Telehealth and Telemedicine center for Children, Adolescents, and Adults for treatment and management.
Our team is composed of highly skilled professionals with diverse backgrounds, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, nurses, clinicians, clinical social workers, and social workers, each boasting 10-20 years of experience. They have received specialized training to support individuals of all ages in managing intricate mental health challenges, particularly those grappling with substance dependence. Child, Adult, and Adolescent Psychiatry delivers a wide range of mental health services tailored for children through adolescence at Courage Outpatient Mental Health Evaluation. We provide diagnosis and treatment for complex mental illnesses such as anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, and eating disorders therapy. Patients are assessed according to their individual needs, with appropriate services being recommended and mental health evaluations being conducted through face-to-face initial assessments and virtual access clinics using telemedicine/telehealth. Our services include psychotherapy, community services, and wellness services. Courage collaborates closely with school counselors, primary care providers, parents, guardians, teachers, and other stakeholders to educate and support our patients. Immediate mental health evaluations, medication management, and holistic treatments are provided. Our award-winning team actively participates in school meetings, including 504 plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and other educational support structures, fostering collaborative care with the student's existing healthcare providers, family members, counselors, therapists, and specialists.

Psychological evaluations are commonly conducted by licensed psychologists or other qualified mental health professionals and are used in various settings such as clinical practice, schools, forensic evaluations, and employment screenings.
IOP may be an appropriate support for your teen if they are: Struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms which are increasing or not improving with therapy, Concerning statements about self-harm, starting or engaging in self-harm, having frequent thoughts of self-harm, suffering from an eating disorder, not Attending school and having significant school absences due to mental health concerns. Courage virtual therapy program is for adolescents aged 13 to 18 years old that focuses on those who struggle with mood disorders. Courage uses intensive group therapy that focuses on CBT and DBT skills. The main goal is to support patients in broadening their repertoire of coping skills, increasing their knowledge of self-awareness, and decreasing life-threatening behaviors. The program is designed to explore and address: Unhelpful thinking and beliefs. Emotional regulation Interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, Adolescent interpersonal skills, intrusive cognitions, and maladaptive behaviors improvement. It also focuses on skills that help address stress, anxiety, procrastination, and trauma symptoms. The group meets online virtually every Thursday and Friday 4 p.m. from to 6 p.m. The IOP is committed to delivering high-quality personalized behavioral health care for adolescents with a primary diagnosis of a mood disorder. Our assessment procedure includes a risk assessment for self-injurious behavior and levels of suicidality, as well as appropriate treatment planning. The team also uses the assessment to measure family support and identify stressors and individual strengths.
